Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Microgrid (MG) can operate in connected or is-landed mode. An MG must ensure its frequency control in islanded mode to maintain the load balance. The secondary control maintains the frequency regulation in an islanded MG. One of the newest secondary control strategies is the Unified Centralized/Decentralized Secondary Control Structure (USCS). This strategy employs a centralized control strategy in normal operation, and a decentralized control strategy takes over during communication or control failures. However, the USCS still lacks real implementation of a test. Thus, this paper aims to implement and analyze the USCS in an actual controller. Therefore the USCS is built in a Real-Time Automation Controller from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (RTAC-SEL), and the Real-Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) is employed to simulate the USCS in a Hardware in the Loop (HIL) configuration. In RTDS a benchmark MG is represented, where two photo-voltaic systems and two batteries are considered. The simulations consider only a total failure of the communication link. The Results show that the USCS can maintain the frequency regulation even during the failure, and when the failure ends, the USCS is capable of returning to its normal operation.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
