Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The problem of future teachers’ practicum remains the Achilles' heel of teacher education in many countries around the world, including Russia. There is a significant gap between theoretical and practical training of future teachers at the university and the level of their preparedness as professionals upon graduation. This problem makes historical and pedagogical studies, foreign experience ones, as well as the periodization of the student teachers practicum’ transformation relevant. This will help to streamline the scientific material, to structure its analysis, to understand the mechanisms of historical processes. It will also allow identifying invariants and specifics of systems development for justifying the universal methodology of educational process organization. Thus, the purpose of the study is to examine the historical and pedagogical prerequisites and implement the periodization of the future teachers practicum’ transformation in North America and Western Europe. The research is based on authentic scientific articles and primary sources. The leading method in the study is a retrospective analysis. The author used historical-genetic, factual, problem-chronological and comparative approaches. The paper presents the dialectical periodization of future teachers practicum’ transformation in North America and Western Europe (second half of XX — early XXI century), identifies the invariants, specifics and trends in the development of student teachers’ practicum in the initial and postgraduate teacher education in the universities of USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany and the Netherlands.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
