Abstract
O artigo aborda a gestão do tempo dos estudantes a partir da organização da instituição escolar, embasado em autores como Giddens, Bauman, Han, Laval e Lück. Buscou-se investigar de que modos a organização do sistema escolar influencia a percepção dos alunos sobre a gestão do tempo e sua implicação nas diferentes esferas de suas vidas e identificar a influência do tempo e da organização escolar para alunos e para a gestora escolar. Trata-se de um estudo de caso com estudantes do nono ano e com a gestora de uma escola de Ensino Fundamental. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida através das seguintes etapas: definição do tema/problema e objetivos; estudo teórico; produção dos dados por meio de um grupo de discussão com os estudantes e de uma entrevista com a gestora; análise da empiria com o aporte teórico. Percebeu-se que alguns mecanismos da organização da escola interferem na gestão do tempo, sendo o principal, a rotina escolar que se estende para além da escola; a relação com o tempo é marcada pela produtividade e otimização.
