A atmosfera é dinâmica por sua própria natureza e segue um ritmo composto por eventos usuais e eventos extremos, anômalos ou excepcionais. Os eventos extremos de chuva são aqueles em que os valores apresentaram desvios de chuva superiores ou inferiores ao comportamento usual. Fenômenos naturais adversos podem ter sérios impactos negativos na mobilidade. Sistemas de transporte podem ser afetados por episódios extremos de precipitação. O objetivo deste artigo é estudar a influência de eventos meteorológicos no fluxo logístico de veículos na rodovia dos Tamoios e o impacto nas rodovias da Região Metropolitana do Vale do Paraíba e Litoral Norte com vistas à prevenção de desastres. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre o tema clima e a logística. Analisa-se os dados pelo método quantitativo de simulação de gráficos os dados da contagem volumétrica desta rodovia contabilizando o fluxo de veículos nas rodovias da região no período de 13/05/2019 a 21/05/2019. Os resultados sugerem que eventos extremos de chuva causam impactos diretamente na rodovia analisada e os efeitos desses impactos se estendem para as rodovias da região, podendo acarretar variações no lead time de cadeias de suprimentos que utilizam a infraestrutura da região.
