Abstract
Neste artigo, proponho-me a mostrar como Michel Lohier, autor guianense do século XX, consegue apoderar-se da história guianense a fim de introduzi-la em seus contos e lendas. Este último mistura a fantasia com a realidade através de crenças fantasmagóricas. As narrativas de Lohier ilustram ao mesmo tempo o sistema colonial e a alienação do colono europeu sobre o homem negro. Por meio da alegoria, assistimos a um confronto entre o escravo e o mestre. Neste sentido, o leitor torna-se testemunha de uma luta sem tréguas entre a astúcia e a inteligência dos mais fracos contra a estupidez e a maldade, e até mesmo a cobiça, dos mais fortes, o que acentua, por conseguinte, o questionamento do poder colonial. Esse combate simboliza assim a vitória do escravo sobre o colono, levando dessa forma à dessacralização deste último. Na reflexão proposta, tratar-se-á de mostrar como o mundo colonial é representado através do imaginário e, sobretudo, como a história da Guiana é apresentada. Portanto, será necessário estudar a forma como se desenrola toda uma lição de História através de uma simples narrativa, e também nos atentarmos à cenografia encantadora própria do universo dos contos guianenses.
