Effect of Balance Exercise on Cognitive and Physical Function in Elderly Women with Mild Cognitive Impairment

이 연구는 경도인지 장애를 가진 노인 여성을 대상으로 12주간의 밸런스 운동을 진행하여 밸런스 운동에 따른 인지기능과 신체 기능에 미치는 효과성을 알아보고자 실시되었다. 연구에 참여한 연구대상자(67.76±6.32세; n=24)는 한국판 몬트리올 인지평가 (Montreal Cognitive Assessment-Korean: MoCA-K)로 경도인자 장애로 판명된 대상자 만을 대상으로 하였다. 이 연구에서 진행한 밸런스 운동은 밸런스 유산소성 운동과 밸런스 저항성 운동으로 구분하여 12주간 진행되었으며, 운동 강도와 운동 시간은 점증부하의 원리를 적용하고 경도인지장애를 가진 노인 여성의 특성을 고려하여 밸런스 운동프로그램을 진행하였다. 12주간의 밸런스 운동에 따른 체중과 BMI 요인에서 유의한 차이가 나타났 고, MoCA-K를 활용한 인지 평가검사 결과 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 또한, 균형검사 요인 중 일반자세 요인에서 유의한 향상 효과가 나타났고, 하체 근력 및 근지구력 검사(의자 일어서기)에서도 유의하게 향상된 결과를 보였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 12주간의 밸런스 운동이 경도인지 장애를 가진 노인여성의 인지기능 및 신체기능에 긍정적인 효과성이 발현될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.
