Teil II Verfahren der Zeitmodellierungum1800 4D as Exemplarische: VomGanzen im Einzelnen 4.1 Exemplumu nd Beispiel Im Laufe des achtzehnten Jahrhunderts ist eine semantische Verschmelzung der Begriffe "Exempel" und "Beispiel" zu verzeichnen.¹Zwar unterschied Immanuel Kant strikt zwischen beiden Begrifflichkeiten; auss einer Unterscheidungg eht jedoch hervor,dass er mit ihr aufeinen heteronymen Gebrauch der zwei Begriffe in seiner Zeitreagierte: Beispiel, ein deutsches Wort,was man gemeiniglich für Exempel als ihm gleichgeltend braucht, ist mit diesem nicht vone inerlei Bedeutung.Woran ein Exempel nehmen und zur Verständlichkeit eines Ausdrucks ein Beispiel anführen, sind ganz verschiedene Begriffe.Das Exempel ist ein besonderer Fall voneiner praktischen Regel, sofern diese die Tunlichkeit oder Untunlichkeit einer Handlungvorstellt.Hingegenein Beispiel ist nur das Besondere(concretum), als unter dem Allgemeinen nach Begriffen (abstractum) enthalten vorgestellt,und bloß theoretische Darstellung eines Begriffs.²Misst Kant dem Exempel eine normative Funktion bei, da es als Konkretion einer moralischen Regel Vorbild oder Warnung für weitere Handlungensei, so attestiert er dem Beispiel eineillustrative Funktion innerhalbder Generierung vonW issen.Mit der deutlichen Relativierung als "nur das Besondere" und als "bloß theoretische Darstellung eines Begriffs" charakterisiert er das Beispiel als Ornament ohne belehrende Wirkung.Ein Exempel zu nehmenb edeutet demnach den Rückgriff auf einen Handlungsmaßstab, der in seiner Vorbildfunktion absolut gesetztw ird; ein Beispiel hingegen ist als Besonderes,d as dem Allgemeinenu ntergeordneti st,e in wertneutrales Vehikel aufdem Wegdes Verstehens.Kants unwilligeF eststellung einer semantischen Verschmelzung vonE xempel und Beispielist nicht aufseine Zeit beschränkt,sondern kann auch danach noch Gültigkeit beanspruchen: Beide Bedeutungen prägen bis heute die Begriffe des Exemplarischen oder Beispielhaften.Z usätzlich zu ihrer Semantikt eilen beide Konzepte dieselbe Grundstruktur,d ie auch bei Kant in den unterscheidenden De- Vgl.
