Introdução: prática deliberada em ciclos rápidos é uma estratégia instrucional de ensino baseado em simulação que identifica lacunas de desempenho e fornece feedback imediato e direcionado para melhorar conhecimento, habilidades e atitudes de participantes do treinamento.Objetivos: descrever por meio de revisão da literatura os princípios educacionais, características, e simuladores necessários para Prática Deliberada em Ciclos Rápidos no treinamento de ressuscitação cardiopulmonar pediátrica.Material e métodos: a revisão da literatura ocorreu entre março e abril de 2022.Foram procurados os termos "prática deliberada em ciclos rápidos", "prática deliberada" e "ciclo rápido", "reanimação", "ressuscitação cardiopulmonar", "RCP", "simulação", "simulação médica", "pediatria" e seus termos equivalentes em espanhol, português e inglês, de janeiro de 2014 (quando o termo foi cunhado) até abril de 2022, nas bases de dados MEDLINE, SciELO, Scopus, Web of Science.Foram excluídos estudos para treinamento de reanimação cardiopulmonar RCP em adultos estudos para treinamento de reanimação neonatal e uso de PDCR em outros contextos dentro da simulação médica que não o de RCP.Resultados: dos 790 artigos localizados a partir dos termos pesquisados, 12 estudos foram selecionados para esta revisão.De forma geral, os artigos revelam melhoria do desempenho da ressuscitação cardiopulmonar (RCP) pediátrica após treinamento com prática deliberada em ciclos rápidos (PDCR).Alguns estudos mostram superioridade do treinamento com PDCR em relação à metodologia tradicional em relação a desempenho na RCP pediátrica e maior satisfação dos participantes com esta técnica.Um estudo mostrou maior potencial para retenção com a PDCR quando comparado à simulação tradicional.Conclusões: a prática deliberada em ciclos rápidos apresenta alta eficácia no treinamento de atendimento de parada cardiopulmonar, incluindo aumento da satisfação dos participantes e melhoria Citar como:
