Deneault) Monsieur, Je vous prie de m'excuser de ne pas vous avoir répondu plus tôt. Je ne pensais pas que quelqu'un me poserait encore une question à l'époque où vous l'avez fait. Tout d'abord, votre question me semble dépasser mes compétences, et concerner plutôt votre spécialité, la philosophie. Il y a un livre intitulé La Vérité en peinture... Je me suis plutôt intéressée au mensonge et à l'illusion du trompe-l'œil, et donc à ce qu'il peut y avoir de mensonger et/ou d'illusoire dans toute représentation picturale. (C'est-à-dire que je me suis intéressée à cette question à travers ce qu'un texte en disait, texte auquel je vous renvoie.) De ce point de vue, une vérité serait à rechercher dans la remise en question de cet effet d'illusion, avec par exemple les trompe-l'œil abîmés, vieillis, qui touchaient tant Perec. Je soumets à votre réflexion une remarque de Max Milner, qui parle de : « l'effet de sidération que l'image provoque, dans la mesure où elle s'ajuste trop bien à notre désir de posséder, sans avoir besoin d'y engager notre liberté et d'y risquer notre intégrité, un équivalent sans faille du réel.
