Abstract
O presente artigo trata de descrever sobre a relevância do ecoturismo no Brasil, focado nas perspectivas de desenvolvimento econômico, sustentável e social, por meio da abordagem qualitativa e bibliográfica em literaturas diversas. Assim, o objetivo do trabalho visa a atividade do turismo ecológico no Brasil, destacando a relevância de se empregar boas práticas do ecoturismo como forma de movimentar eixos de desenvolvimento econômico e da educação sócio ambiental. A motivação de produção deste, surgiu a partir do entendimento de que o turismo ecológico e sustentável, é uma temática relevante e que deve ser melhor explorada e divulgada dentro e fora da academia científica. Portanto, o ecoturismo é uma tipologia do turismo que impulsiona de maneira positiva o eixo de desenvolvimento econômico, a educação socioambiental, além disso, interconecta o ser humano de uma maneira muito intima com a natureza, e favorece na busca pela qualidade de vida. Então constata-se que no Brasil, o ecoturismo, proporciona uma maior qualidade de vida da população, e o mesmo trata-se de uma das categorias de desenvolvimento da educação ambiental que busca ampliar as participações políticas com respeito à natureza, e pode promover desenvolvimento socioeconômico significativo para a localidade receptiva do turismo.
