Abstract
Uno dei primi critici del "doppio" è il poeta e critico Eli Mandel, autore del saggio "Ethnic Voice in Canadian Writing" del 1977.Il suo pensiero è citato e condiviso da Linda Hutcheon (Splitting Images 49):Eli Mandel noted that doubleness, even 'duplicity', was what all immigrants live and grapple with daily (Mandel [1978], 265).The literature that comes out of this experience itself exists at 'the interface of two cultures': 'a form concerned to define itself, its voice, in the dialectic of self and other and the duplicities of self creation, transformation, and identities'.(274) Da parte sua la Hutcheon, che studia il doppio (Double-talking) anche nell'arte, afferma che l'ironia è la migliore arma strategica degli immigrati per negoziare la propria cultura con quella predominante della maggioranza, perché "irony is one way of coming to terms with this kind of duplicity, for it is the trope that incarnates doubleness" ITALIAN CANADIANA, Vol.XXI, 2007,87-98 the same person.[...] J.D.-That's exactly right. The way the father is both the angel and the devil.C. E. -Eli Mandel wrote an article once on how doubles are a particular concern of ethinic writers.J. D. -Certainly.In The Lion's Mouth, for example Marco is Bianca's dark side.C. E. -An ineffectual one.J.D. -Morally and emotionally weak.He literally has no stomach.C. E. -Hard not to read that symbolically.[...].(110-111).Nello stesso "Dialogue" si mettono ancora a confronto i personaggi maschili di Caterina Edwards "deboli" e i personaggi femminili "forti": J. D. -You often have male characters who take out their frustration in violence.Your female characters don't.They tend to be verbal, capable, efficient. The men are ambiguous, confused, and as I mentioned before, weak, though physically strong.C.E. -The novel I'm working on now has the same pattern: a weak man and a capable and strong wife.(He can't adjust to a new country while she is a success at forging a new life.)But I don't know where that pattern comes from.I don't think I see all male and female relationships in that light.I hope not.( 112)

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
