El ambiente que nos rodea y en particular los sonidos, olores y colores, generan sensaciones y reacciones en los seres humanos. Estos estímulos pueden repercutir de forma positiva o negativa en el comportamiento cerebral de las personas. La creatividad al ser un estado mental y emocional teóricamente puede depender de todo estímulo externo, influyendo las habilidades creativas. Objetivo: establecer la influencia de una estrategia cromática definida por una gama de colores cálidos aplicada a través de la herramienta tecnológica sensorial de Realidad Virtual Cardboard, en el desarrollo de las habilidades creativas de estudiantes de Fisioterapia de la Universidad Autónoma de Manizales. Metodología: enfoque cuantitativo y cuasiexperimental, utilizando la herramienta de recolección de información Test de Creatividad fundado en Torrance (1972) y Guilford (1973). Resultados: se evidenció una diferencia significativa entre las medias de los estudiantes mediados y no mediados con la estrategia cromática. Conclusiones: la mediación de la estrategia cromática aplicada con la herramienta de realidad virtual Cardboard influye en el desarrollo de las habilidades creativas de los estudiantes que hicieron parte del proceso experimental. La investigación concluye resultados satisfactorios y aportantes para procesos de educación y cualquier ambiente organizacional que potencien la creatividad y para futuras investigaciones que quieran, a partir de los hallazgos de ésta, continuar abordando la influencia colorista en las habilidades creativas de los seres humanos.
