PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BAHAN ORGANIK TERHADAP HASIL PADA BEBERAPA VARIETAS UBI JALAR PADA TANAH ALLUVIAL

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan bahan organik terhadap hasil beberapa varietas lokal ubi jalar dan interaksi keduanya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 2 Februari 2014 sampai dengan 2 Mei 2014 di lahan percobaan yang terletak di Desa Parit Lintang, Kecamatan Salatiga, Sambas. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan percobaan petak terpisah yang terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah varietas ubi jalar lokal yang terdiri dari ubi jalar jingga (v1), ubi jalar kuning (v2), ubi jalar putih (v3), ubi jalar ungu (v4). Faktor kedua adalah jenis bahan organik, terdiri dari kotoran ayam (b1), kotoran sapi (b2), dan kotoran kambing (b3). Dosis bahan organik yang digunakan adalah 30,30 kg/petak kotoran ayam, 15,31 kg/petak kotoran sapi, 14 kg/petak kotoran kambing. Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 3 sampel tanaman. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi jumlah umbi tanaman, jumlah umbi per petak, berat umbi pertanaman (g), berat umbi perpetak(g), diameter umbi tanaman (cm). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aplikasi bahan organik dan penggunaan varietas ubi jalar dapat meningkatkan hasil panen ubi jalar pada tanah aluvial. Aplikasi bahan organik dengan dosis 30,30 kg/petak kotoran ayam merupakan perlakuan terbaik yang memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap bobot umbi per petak, diameter umbi tanaman, sedangkan penggunaan varietas ubi jalar ungu dan ubi jalar putih adalah yang paling disukai. varietas terbaik yang memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap jumlah umbi tanaman.
