Abstract

One important factor for the success of a company is employee performance. This study aims to analyze the role of organizational commitment in mediating the effect of quality of work life on employee performance at Hotel The One Legian Badung. This study used a sample of 72 employees which was determined by saturated sampling. The method used in this study is the method of interviews and questionnaires. Path analysis and Sobel's test were used as data analysis techniques. Research findings show that quality of work life influences employee performance positively and significantly. Quality of work life influences organizational commitment positively and significantly, organizational commitment influences employee performance positively and significantly, and quality of work life can be mediated by organizational commitment to employee performance. The implications of this study aim to examine social exchange theory and its relation to research variables. Keywords: Employee Performance, Quality of Work Life, Organizational commitment
