Este capítulo pretende identificar el grado de profundización y el alcance del emprendimiento, mediante el abordaje de la literatura y la información obtenida con el uso de las bases de datos especializadas y su articulación con temas de emprendimiento social. La metodología empleada se basó en un estudio descriptivo bajo un enfoque cualitativo de lo desarrollado en Colombia durante los últimos cinco años, anclado en la teoría de Harvard School, cuya intención establece la premisa de agregar valor social. En este sentido, se buscó referir diferentes autores que indagan sobre el emprendimiento social, como punto de partida para la solución mediante la identificación y comprensión de problemáticas, y los sucesos que confluyen alrededor de sus lazos culturales, así como su comportamiento en la sociedad. Finalmente, se busca incentivar proyectos innovadores con impacto social y ambiental, que contribuyan al desarrollo social de las comunidades. Esto mediante la ampliación del conocimiento en cuanto a las tendencias de emprendimiento social, ya que estas se encuentran imbuidas en los conceptos de sostenibilidad, técnica y medio ambiente en el ámbito global. La gran tendencia es apuntar a propuestas sociales a partir de la creación de proyectos productivos
