Abstract
Die Beschäftigung mit Magie und Hexenkünsten hat in der Literatur eine sehr lange Tradition. Auch in rezenten Medientexten finden wir unzählige Hexen und andere übernatürliche Wesen – verstärkt seit der Mitte der 1990er Jahre. Ausgehend von einem Konzept des italienischen Semiotikers Ferruccio Rossi-Landi werden magische (Zeichen-)Prozesse und ihre Darstellung in audiovisuellen und literarischen Texten der letzten knapp 30 Jahre einer semiotischen Betrachtung unterzogen. Es geht dabei um Zaubersprüche, um Instrumente wie den Zauberstab, bis zu körperlichen Veränderungen sowohl der Hexen selbst wie deren Zielpersonen.<br/>Es ist nicht Ziel dieses Geburtstagsbeitrags, Friedrich Lachmayer als Hexenmeister oder als Zauberer zu apostrophieren. Allein, aus vielen Gesprächen weiß ich von seinem Interesse an diesen Themen. Da ich fachfremd bin, kann ich seine juristische Textproduktion kaum beurteilen. Aber ich kenne unzählige seiner Visualisierungen von Konzepten und Texten, und diese haben zweifellos in ihrer Eindringlichkeit und Unmittelbarkeit eine besondere magische Qualität.
