Abstract
ResumenIntroducción: actualmente son pocos los estudios que evalúan los rangos tolerables de alineación de los componentes protésicos y cómo éstos influyen en la funcionalidad del paciente.Éste es un factor que está relacionado directamente al cirujano, por lo que es importante establecer dicha influencia, ya que podría ser un factor de riesgo para un resultado funcional poco aceptable.Objetivo: determinar la relación de los resultados funcionales según la alineación de los componentes de la prótesis en los pacientes sometidos a artroplastia total de rodilla, durante enero 2021 a mayo de 2022 en el Hospital Ángeles Mocel.Material y métodos: realizamos un estudio analítico con un total de 111 pacientes divididos en dos grupos; pacientes con sus tres componentes protésicos en rangos normales y los que tenían ángulos atípicos.Resultados: la mayoría de pacientes estuvo en el rango de 70-80 años (50%), con predominancia del sexo femenino (70.3%).Del total de pacientes, 50.5% tenía sus componentes protésicos con algún valor atípico y 49.5% en valores normales.Una vez hecha la relación entre la presencia de algún ángulo atípico con funcionalidad (p < 0.001), síntomas (p < 0.001) y dolor (p < 0.001) se encontró una relación estadística significativa.Conclusión: existe diferencia significativa entre la alineación de los componentes protésicos y los resultados funcionales percibidos por el paciente.
