Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a relação entre comprometimento cognitivo e sintomas ansiosos em pacientes com doença de Parkinson.Trata-se de um estudo de corte transversal realizado em um ambulatório de distúrbio de movimento em Maceió, AL.A amostra contou com a participação de 62 pacientes com doença de Parkinson primária.Para identificação sociodemográfica dos pacientes, utilizou-se um questionário desenvolvido pelos pesquisadores, o Inventário de Ansiedade Geriátrica e a Avaliação Cognitiva de Montreal.A maioria dos pacientes é do sexo feminino (75,0%), com média de idade de 62,51 anos (±9,26).Os resultados demonstram que os sintomas ansiosos correlacionaram inversamente com função cognitiva.Essa relação também foi identificada com as variáveis idade e escolaridade.Os sintomas ansiosos corroboram para o declínio cognitivo.Além disso, fatores sociodemográficos
