Abstract
El presente artículo presenta los hechos más relevantes que marcaron el desarrollo de la Escuela Tecnológica Instituto Técnico Central (ET-ITC) en el segundo semestre del 2010 los cuales configuran nuevas oportunidades de proyección institucional en el Distrito Capital, como Ciudad-Región a través de la Alianza por la Educación Superior que permite la creación, por primera vez, de dos sedes para la ETITC en el 2011 y del programa de Articulación de la Educación Media con la Educación Superior orientado a mejorar las posibilidades de acceso de los jóvenes egresados de los colegios distritales a la educación superior y por otra parte, la participación en la Red de Instituciones de Educación Superior oficiales de Colombia que ofrecen educación Técnica y Tecnológica (RED TyT) abre la puerta a nuevos escenarios de cooperación en el ámbito nacional e internacional en el marco del plan estratégico trazado para la Red, del portafolio de servicios y del convenio firmado con la Asociación Nacional de Universidades Tecnológicas de México (ANUT). Se hace alusión también al proceso de Autoevaluación con fines de Acreditación de los programas técnicos profesionales y a la exposición de los proyectos realizados en el segundo semestre por los estudiantes y profesores de la carrera de Diseño de Máquinas y Productos Industriales.
