Effets du programme Cercle de sécurité parental sur la sécurité d’attachement d’enfants d’âge préscolaire

Abstract
La présente étude a comme objectif d’évaluer les effets du programme Cercle de sécurité parental (COSP ; Cooper et al. , 2009) sur l’attachement d’enfant d’âge préscolaire. Le programme COSP est considéré comme prometteur puisqu’il se concentre sur des cibles d’intervention ayant été identifiées essentielles et centrales pour le développement d’un lien d’attachement sécurisé, telles que la sensibilité et la fonction réflexive parentale. En fonction de l’intérêt initial des mères, 2 groupes de dyades mères-enfants ont été formés, soit 1 groupe dont les mères ont bénéficié de l’intervention ( n = 12) et 1 groupe qui ne l’a pas reçu ( n = 12). Les enfants du groupe expérimental et de contrôle ont été soumis à des mesures prétests et posttests. Les résultats ont révélé une amélioration significative des représentations quant à la perception du soutien maternel uniquement chez les enfants dont les mères ont bénéficié de l’intervention. Ainsi, cette étude suggère que la participation des mères au programme COSP ait un impact positif sur les attitudes et les comportements maternels soutenants et sensibles et pourrait contribuer par le fait même à davantage de sécurité d’attachement à plus long terme.
