Abstract
Introduo: O trabalho em turnos nos hospitais expe os trabalhadores de enfermagem privao do sono podendo levar a sonolncia excessiva, afetar a resposta imunolgica, alterar o metabolismo e causar o adoecimento fsico, mental e emocional representando, tambm, riscos para a segurana dos pacientes. As interleucinas pr-inflamatrias e os metablitos podem ser potenciais biomarcadores para a avaliar a qualidade do sono e as alteraes de sade nestes trabalhadores. Objetivo: Verificar a ocorrncia de sonolncia diurna nos trabalhadores de enfermagem que atuam com pacientes adultos em estado crtico e avaliar se h associaes com as condies de sade, com a concentrao srica de interleucinas e metablitos de maior expresso.
