Abstract
Esta selección de estudios celestinescos y picarescos es fruto de la labor conjunta de investigadores noveles, experimentados y consagrados procedentes de los continentes americano y europeo. Se trata de un volumen que propone perspectivas interdisciplinares e innovadoras que abordan tanto las obras definitorias de las literaturas picaresca y celestinesca como textos afines que merecen una mayor atención por parte de la crítica. Las aportaciones que componen Entre ingenios y agudezas: nuevos rumbos de la crítica celestinesca y picaresca abarcan teatro, prosa, iconografía, ecdótica, política, pornografía y lingüística, con frecuencia realizando comparaciones entre creaciones de distintas épocas y destacando los aspectos esenciales de todo lo que se relaciona con Celestina y la picaresca. El resultado es un conjunto de trabajos cuya finalidad principal no es únicamente arrojar luz sobre cuestiones aún candentes y/o irresueltas, sino también fomentar la investigación sobre las temáticas aquí mencionadas y demostrar su vitalidad y pervivencia.
