Abstract

Objetivo: verificar na literatura científica o impacto da acupuntura para minimizar a ansiedade de pacientes em cuidados paliativos. Método: Revisão integrativa, realizada nas bases de dados Pubmed, Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo e BVS salud, com recorte temporal de 2012 a 2022. Os descritores anxiety, palliative care, palliative therapy, palliative suportive care, palliative treatment e acupuncture foram combinados entre si para garantir a ampla busca de estudos primários. Resultado: dos 40 artigos, 15 duplicados, 10 foram excluídos por leitura flutuante, 15 foram lidos na íntegra e 10 excluídos, os critérios de inclusão idioma português e inglês, apenas artigos disponibilizados gratuitamente e exclusão revisões de literatura, manuais, cartas, dissertações, teses, editorias, que não responderam à pergunta da pesquisa e duplicados. Discussão: dos 5 artigos selecionados, todos referiram impacto na diminuição do sintoma de ansiedade em pacientes em cuidados paliativos, porém, dois deles não foram capazes de afirmar a eficiência plena da acupuntura, por usar concomitante outras práticas, indicando a necessidade de mais estudos. Conclusão: permitiu-se identificar potencialidades e deficiências nesta revisão, a qual possui uma limitação da amostra, devido a todos os estudos avaliados retratarem pacientes oncológicos, contudo, denotam um impacto na minimização dos sintomas ansiosos em pacientes paliativos.
