Estoque de carbono e atributos do solo com o reflorestamento de Cariniana pyriformis e Cordia gerascanthus em Santander, Colômbia

Abstract
A regio dos Andes na Colmbia tem sofrido um forte processo de degradao de solos e desmatamento.Numa rea dessa regio foi avaliado o efeito do reflorestamento com Cariniana pyriformis (abarco) e Cordia gerascanthus (moncoro) nos atributos qumicos (pH, matria orgnica, carbono orgnico, P, K +1 , Mg +2 e Ca +2 ) e o contedo de carbono no solo.Aps 8,2 anos de plantio, para cada espcie foram coletadas amostras de solo em duas profundidades, 0-20 cm e 20-40 cm, sendo as variveis analisadas mediante anova (two-way) e test de Tukey (p< 0,05).Apenas houve maior concentrao significativa de carbono orgnico (+38%) e P (43%) com o plantio de moncoro aos 0-20 cm.No entanto, ambas as espcies acumularam em mdia 0,5 vezes mais matria orgnica e carbono orgnico aos 0-20 cm que aos 20-40 cm.O solo sequestrou mais carbono na camada de 0-20 cm que de 20-40 cm, independente da espcie, totalizando na camada (0-40 cm) em mdia 66,9 Mg ha -1 .Os plantios com as duas espcies nativas podem contribuir diminuio do CO2 atmosfrico e se tornar um servio ecossistmico importante nos Andes de Colmbia.
