Dans le cadre de cet article, nous nous attachons au concept de l’employabilité dans les grandes entreprises en France et au Québec. Nous revenons sur la genèse et l’évolution du concept d’employabilité qui connaît de nombreux débats dans la littérature. L’employabilité interactive propose une vision globale au cœur des préoccupations alors que l’employabilité individuelle(initiative) place l’Homme au centre du concept. À bien des égards, la prise en compte de l’employabilité au sein de la Gestion des Ressources Humaines (GRH) devient incontournable surtout qu’il existe un corpus juridique sur l’employabilité en France et au Québec qui renforce la prise en compte de cet aspect dans les politiques des entreprises. Dans le cadre de cette recherche scientifique, nous optons pour une démarche qualitative. Nous collectons auprès de membres de la Direction des Ressources Humaines (DRH) de grandes entreprises 65 entretiens. Ces entretiens sont réalisés auprès de 33 grandes entreprises. Les résultats démontrent une réalité contrastée concernant la prise en compte du développement de l’employabilité des salariés. Cette responsabilité est partagée entre différents acteurs au sein des organisations : salariés, managers et DRH. Nous présenterons également des recommandations managériales.
