Abstract
Padaczka jest jedną z najczęściej występujących chorób neuropsychiatrycznych na świecie.Samo występowanie napadów ma wpływ na poważne ograniczenia w funkcjonowaniu psychospołecznym osób z padaczką i przyczynia się do znacznego obniżenia jakości życia.Pomimo dobrej kontroli napadów padaczkowych codzienne funkcjonowanie tych osób może podlegać poważnym ograniczeniom ze względu na współistniejące zaburzenia psychiczne, np.zaburzenia lękowe.Dopiero ich skuteczne leczenie może prowadzić do pełnej poprawy funkcjonalnej -w znaczeniu możliwości uzyskania przez osobę leczoną optymalnego, dostępnego w jej konkretnej sytuacji poziomu funkcjonowania osobistego, rodzinnego i społecznego.W artykule opisano przypadek chorej, u której pomimo bardzo dobrego wyniku leczenia przeciwpadaczkowego rozwinęły się uogólnione zaburzenia lękowe.Objawy lęku pojawiały się w miejscach publicznych, w których obecna była muzyka.Po postawieniu diagnozy zdecydowano się włączyć do leczenia pregabalinę -lek znajdujący zastosowanie w leczeniu padaczki oraz lęku uogólnionego, uzyskując znaczną poprawę w zakresie codziennego funkcjonowania pacjentki.Słowa kluczowe: padaczka,
