Abstract
PDF | O principal objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar os efeitos de diferentes taxas de carregamento, impostas pelos ensaios de tração e impacto Charpy, sob o modo de fratura de um intermetálico Fe3Al com 1% de carbono. Além disso, o possível efeito de fragilização por hidrogênio também foi investigado. Os ensaios de impacto e tração foram realizados em temperatura ambiente e alta temperatura, e, o modo de fratura, em cada uma das condições, foi analisado utilizando microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV). Tratamento térmico, para avaliação de possível efeito de fragilização por hidrogênio, foi utilizado de modo a verificar a fonte do hidrogênio. Diferentes modos de fratura foram identificados pelo microscópio eletrônico de varredura. Para o material ensaiado em tração a fratura apresentou clivagem como modo preferencial de fratura. Porém, para os ensaios de impacto foram observadas nucleações de microvazios, demonstrando menor fragilidade nessa condição. O tratamento térmico resultou em maior resistência em impacto, demonstrando a diminuição do efeito da fragilização por hidrogênio.
