PDF | O laminador reversível 4-HI de uma cadeira da CSN-PR entrou em produção em Jan/2004 utilizando a tecnologia CVC do fabricante original do equipamento. Essa tecnologia baseia-se em obter diferentes coroas mecânicas através da movimentação axial dos cilindros de laminação. Para isso os cilindros de trabalho são retificados em forma de curva côncavo/convexa. No caso do laminador da CSN- PR, a retífica do cilindro em perfil côncavo/convexa somente era efetuada nos cilindros de trabalho, sendo os cilindros de encosto retificados em perfil plano. Devido à retificação em perfil dos cilindros de trabalho e não dos cilindros de encosto, a distribuição de cargas de laminação era efetuada de maneira não uniforme ao longo da mesa dos cilindros. Devido a esse fator, é gerada uma diferença na fadiga sofrida pelo cilindro de encosto, o que provoca um maior volume de desbaste na retifica e uma redução na campanha devido a riscos de desplacamento do cilindro de encosto por fadiga mecânica. Este trabalho aborda a redução nos custos de laminação alcançada através da retificação em perfil dos cilindros de encostos no laminador reversível de redução LRF-1 da CSN-PR.
