Abstract
Gagal jantung kongestifmerupakan keadaan patofisiologi jantung berupa sindrom klinik akibat ketidakmampuan jantung memompa darah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan jaringan.Anjing jantan ras labrador umur 15 tahun dibawa ke klinikAnom Vetdengan keluhan lesu, nafsu makandan minum menurun, batuk, dan intoleransi latihan.Hasil pemeriksaan klinis menunjukkan gangguan respirasi berupa takipnea, dispnea, batuk, suara krepitasi, dan aritmia.Pada auskultasi thorak terdengar suara krepitasi dari paru dan suara bising disertai aritmia dari jantung.Anjing kasus menunjukkan tanda klinis batuk sekitar lima bulan dan semakin parah seminggu sebelum dilakukan pemeriksaan. Hasil pemeriksaan radiografidengan posisi lateral menunjukkan terjadinya kardiomegali dengan VHS(vertebralheart size): 11,2. Sedangkan pada posisi ventrodorsal menunjukkan perubahan ukuran dan bentuk jantung terutama pembesaran pada ventrikel kiri, peningkatan opasitas (radiopasitas cairan) terutama pada lobus kranial paru, dan arteri pulmonalis lobus kaudal paru lebih hiperekhoik.Berdasarkan anamnesis, hasil pemeriksaan fisik, dan pemeriksaan radiografianjing kasus diduga mengalamigagal jantung kongestif kiridenganprognosis infausta.Pengobatan dilakukan dengan menggunakan furosemide(4 mg/kg BB, q12h, selama 8 hari), digoxin(0,25 mg/kg BB, q12h, selama 8 hari), dan captopril(0,25 mg/kg BB, q12h, selama 8 hari).Setelah delapan hari pengobatan,anjing kasus menunjukkan perbaikan kondisi menjadilebih responsif, berkurangnya frekuensi batuk, danauskultasi pada jantung membaik tetapi masih terdengar aritmia, sehingga terapi furosemide dihentikandan hanya dilanjutkan captopril.
