Abstract
A abordagem médica humanizada para pacientes institucionalizados é uma prática que visa melhorar significativamente a qualidade de vida e o bem-estar dos indivíduos que residem em instituições de saúde, como hospitais, casas de repouso, clínicas de reabilitação e outras instalações similares. Essa abordagem reconhece a importância de tratar cada paciente como um ser humano único e respeitar sua dignidade, independentemente de sua condição de saúde ou de seu ambiente de cuidados. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo examinar a trajetória da humanização no contexto médico e entre os pacientes, ressaltando sua relevância na formação de uma relação saudável entre médicos e pacientes. Este artigo consiste em uma análise bibliográfica que buscou coletar dados sobre a temática da relação médico-paciente e humanização. Para isso, foram consultadas diversas bases de dados bibliográficos, como a Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe (Lilacs), o Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MedLine), o Portal de Periódicos da Capes, a Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) e o Google Acadêmico. O período de busca foi de 2018 a 2023. O que se pode concluir que a busca por uma abordagem médica humanizada para pacientes institucionalizados é um compromisso que deve ser abraçado por todos os envolvidos no sistema de saúde, desde os profissionais de saúde até os gestores e formuladores de políticas. É um desafio contínuo, mas um objetivo que vale a pena perseguir em prol de uma sociedade mais saudável e justa.
