Abstract
Le passé colonial peut laisser des traces psychiques aux descendants de colonisés. Les adolescents de parents migrants posent souvent un regard critique sur l’histoire coloniale; ils se situent dans un entre-deux identitaire avec d’un côté, la prise en compte des valeurs du pays d’origine et de l’autre, de celles du pays d’accueil. Les entretiens effectués avec Léna, une jeune française d’origine malgache, mettent en avant les difficultés rencontrées par les adolescents quand ils abordent le passé colonial. Elle est intéressée par la question coloniale, elle a envie d’en savoir davantage mais le sujet est peu abordé. Elle méconnaît une grande partie de l’histoire coloniale liant Madagascar à la France, ce qui pourrait s’expliquer par le manque de souvenirs laissés par les cours d’histoire administrés par les enseignants du secondaire. De plus, les parents de l’adolescente n’ont jamais abordé le fait colonial avec leur fille. À travers les silences et les non-dits, colère et ressentiment peuvent se transmettre à travers les générations.
