ResumoO presente artigo relata o caso do Instituto Federal de Roraima (IFRR), referente à elaboração e execução de seu plano de permanência e êxito.O texto está organizado em três seções para além da introdução e das considerações finais: a primeira atém-se a refletir sobre as causas do abandono escolar de adolescentes, seguida pela seção que discorre sobre os fatores que contribuem para permanência e êxitos dos estudantes e, por fim, a terceira seção descreve o processo de elaboração do plano de permanência e êxito no IFRR e as ações tomadas para o enfrentamento da evasão e da retenção durante o primeiro ano da pandemia da Covid-19.
