O0092 PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS ALTERS GLUCOSE ABSORPTION IN RAT JEJUNUM
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Introduction:The peroxisome proliferator activated receptor (PPAR) gamma2 is a transcription factor involved in adipocyte differentation, adipogenesis and insulin sensitivity. The Pro 12Ala polymorphism of the PPAR gamma2 gene has been associated in some, but not all, studies with lower mass index (BMI) and improved insulin sensitivity. It is possible that this polymorphism might be associated with decreased insulin resistance and a decreased risk of type 2 diabetes. Methods:We have performed a case-control study of the Pro12Ala PPARgamma2 polymorphism in a pediatric population.Fifteen normal-weighing (6 M and 9 F, mean age 12.5, SD 1.2, yrs) have been matched with 33 overweight (20 M and 13 F, mean age 11.5, SD 1.4, yrs) children (classified on the basis of IOTF).Serum insulin was determined by electro-chemilluminescence immunoassay analyser and serum glucose was determined by enzymatic methods.Genomic DNA was obtained from peripheral blood using standard methods, and the Pro12Ala PPARgamma2 variant was detected by PCR polymorphism analysis.Statistics: chi square (Fisher's exact test)Results: The frequence of Pro12Ala PPARgamma2 variant was 6% in the obese children and 26% in the normal-weighing group (P=0.06).Twenty-two out of 33 obese children showed hyperinsulinemia (66%).No hyperinsulinemic states in normalweighing children were observed. Conclusion:The trend toward a lower frequency of Pro12Ala PPARgamma2 among obese children in the present study suggests that this polymorphism might have a protective role against obesity and its metabolic consequences.More data are required from studies including larger groups.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
