Le développement durable a toujours été au centre des priorités mondiales. En 2015, l’Assemblée Générale des Nations unies a adopté « Transformer notre monde : le Programme de développement durable à l’horizon 2030 » en engageant ses membres dans le défi collectif d’atteindre 17 Objectifs de Développement Durable (ODD). Ces ODD universels et interdépendants visent à assurer la croissance mondiale dans cinq domaines vitaux, les « 5P » : Personnes, Planète, Prospérité, Paix et Partenariats. Cet agenda intégré et ambitieux qui s’attaque aux grands défis auxquels l’humanité est confrontée a été mis en péril dans nombreux pays par la Covid-19. Cette pandémie a révélé des disparités stupéfiantes et a compromis le bien-être des populations à l’échelle internationale. Ce chapitre analyse comment le Maroc a fait face aux défis sociaux, économiques et environnementaux. D’abord, nous mettons en lumière les efforts du Maroc en matière de développement durable. Nous discutons ensuite sa mise en œuvre des ODD ainsi que les résultats obtenus. Finalement, nous soulignons les obstacles rencontrés dans ce processus et nous proposons quelques recommandations pour accélérer les progrès du pays.
