Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Introduction: In aging, there is loss of organ function influenced by several factors. Although considered a natural process, it is challenging to maintain functionality, independence and quality of life of the elderly. Objective: To evaluate postural balance (PB), quality of life (QL) and functional capacity (FC) of the elderly with knee osteoarthritis. Methods: Cross-sectional, comparative, descriptive, exploratory study with 27 elderly people, from 60 to 70 years of age, both genders, divided in: group with osteoarthritis (CAG-N=13) and control group (COG-N=14), elderly without osteoarthritis. PB was evaluated through Computer Dynamic Posturography with Sensory Organization Tests (SOT). To evaluate QL the questionnaire World Health Organization Quality of Life abbreviated version (WHOQOL-Bref) was used and for the evaluation of FC, the questionnaire Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis (WOMAC) was used. Results: There was no significant difference between the groups with and without osteoarthritis in relation to PB, QL and FC. However, according to bone mass index, it was observed that the CAG was considered grade I obese and the COG was overweight. Conclusion: Elderly people with knee osteoarthritis did not present a reduction in PB, QL and FC.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
