Abstract
[SPA] La superficie cultivada con cerezos a nivel mundial aumentó en un 10%, en el periodo 2001-2005, alcanzando en este último año 400.000 ha, con una producción del orden de 1,9 mill ton. El comercio mundial es del orden de USD 600 mill, transándose sólo el 10% de la producción. En el H.N., EE.UU. y Turquía concentran el 43% de las de las exportaciones. España es responsable del 6%. En el H.S. , el líder es Chile con el 7%. Con el objeto determinar la competitividad de los principales países exportadores se utilizaron indicadores cuantitativos: la Balanza comercial relativa indica que en el HS los más competitivos son Chile (1) y Argentina (0,94) ; en el H.N., Irán (1), Turquía (0,35), Polonia (0,98) y España (0,88). En Transabilidad, Turquía (0,35) y Polonia (0,21); en el HS, N. Zelanda (4,67) y Chile (0,55). Apertura exportadora N. Zelanda (4,9) y Chile (0,55); Austria (0,4) y Polonia (0,2). Modo de inserción en el mercado, con sus componentes Posicionamiento, España, Polonia, Alemania y Turquía, se califican en “retirada”, en tanto, EE.UU.”perdiendo oportunidades”. Chile y N. Zelanda “positivos”. En cuanto a Especialización se califica como ”alta “ a España (0,94), Turquía (0,99), EE.UU. (0,86), Irán (1) y Polonia (1). En el HS, es “alta” para Chile (1), Argentina (0,97) y N. Zelanda (0,96). Se estima que el comercio internacional seguirá la tendencia creciente experimentada en el periodo 2000-2005. Así, para 2007, se estima que en la Unión Europea el mercado será del orden de unas 100.000 ton, en tanto en Japón sobre 15.000 ton. Otros mercados interesantes son EE.UU. Canadá, Alemania, Francia y Reino Unido.
