Abstract
Mata merupakan indra penglihatan yang sangat penting bagi manusia. Seorang dokter dari Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Mata Indonesia (Perdami) dr. Aldiana Halim menyampaikan terdapat 8 juta jiwa dengan gangguan penglihatan. Sebanyak 1,6 juta jiwa diantaranya mengalami kebutaan dan 6,4 juta jiwa lainnya mengalami gangguan penglihatan berat dan sedang. Perkembangan teknologi juga mempengaruhi terjadinya masalah pada mata. Peningkatan permasalahan mata terus terjadi seiring dengan pertumbuhan penduduk. Namun fasilitas lengkap dan rumah sakit khusus mata belum ada di Banda Aceh sebagai Ibu Kota Provinsi Aceh. Oeh karena itu perancangan Rumah Sakit Mata di Banda Aceh diperlukan. Perancangan ini dapat menjadi pelengkap terhadap sarana dan prasarana kesehatan mata yang masih kurang di Aceh khususnya Banda Aceh sebagai ibu kota provinsi. Selain itu perancangan ini juga sebagai upaya mendukung program pemerintah aceh yang tercantum dalam Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Aceh (RPJM) Aceh 2017-2022. Rumah Sakit Mata ini berlokasi di Jalan Dr. Syarif Thayeb Gampong Bandar Baru Kecamatan Kuta Alam Kota Banda Aceh. Penerapan Tema Healing Environment diharapkan dapat membantu proses penyembuhan pasien melalui lingkungan. Sehingga pasien dapat merasa nyaman dan mempercepat penyembuhan.
