Abstract
Cette recherche est intitulée : - " la spoliation identitaire d'Emma dans le livre d'Emma. Accusée d'infanticide, Emma a été internée dans un hôpital psychiatrique au Canada. Pendant son séjour à l'hôpital, elle refuse de prononcer un seul mot dans la langue du colonisateur français. Seule Flore l`interprète convoquée pour traduire les propos d`Emma, gagne sa confiance, elle devient alors son miroir. Emma représente les enfants qui souffrent de l’absence de véritable filiation, notamment dans les milieux pauvres.Emma essaie tout au long de son discours à Flore de transmettre les aspects du malheur et de la souffrance que les noirs ont vécus à cause des colonisateurs européens et l`injustice commise contre les femmes. Emma se remémore les histoires racontées par sa grand-tante Mattie qui montrent le destin misérable des générations des noirs.La femme noire a été exploitée physiquement et sexuellement, et elle a été horriblement maltraitée. Le système colonial esclavagiste divise la société en classes et races. Les femmes à peau « bleue » se sentent prises au piège, ce qui mène à des rancœurs et des révoltes à des générations de femmes noires qui résistent à l'oppression.
