Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The purpose of the study was to identify the specifics of the verbal marking of the processes of rethinking the existential values of Ukrainians of various ages thanks to media mediatization and the identification of specific markers of the mentioned processes that took place as a reaction to the large-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine as of June 6–14 (the fourth month of the war) of 2022 and on July 9–17 (the fifth month of the war) of 2022. The research methodology consisted of several procedures: 1) the survey was carried out in two stages: the 1st stage – from June 6 to 14, 2022 and from July 9 to 17, 2022 thanks to the electronic program «Google forms» (Mediatization of the population, 2022, September 3 ); 2) at the first stage, 28 people aged 18 to 55 took part in the survey, who lived at the time of the survey in the following regions and cities: Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ivano-Frankivsk city, Kyiv region, outside Ukraine; 3) at the second stage, 51 respondents aged from 18 to 69 who lived in 28 settlements in seven countries of the world (Ukraine, Canada, Poland, Italy, Czech Republic, Turkey) were interviewed; 4) 89 respondents (in two stages of the survey) were asked to familiarize themselves with the definition of the term «media mediatization», answer 2 questions and complete 2 tasks; question 1 – «What were your life values BEFORE February 24, 2022? Describe», question 2 – «What are your life values now AFTER exposure to mediatization? Describe»; 5) the obtained results of the survey in two stages were interpreted in tables and diagrams, which we provided in the electronic resources of international repositories «Mendeley», SSRN and «Figshare». Conclusions. The specificity of the verbal marking of the reinterpretation of the existential values of Ukrainians due to the media mediatization recorded in June and July 2022 of the aforementioned aggression was identified. Such specificity should be considered the functioning of nine (at the first stage) and eight (at the second stage) different psycholinguistic models in the world picture of Ukrainian respondents of different ages, which were explained by eight (at the first stage) and thirteen (at the second stage) verbal markers.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
