Cet article explore l’impact des premières expériences esthétiques sur le développement de la psyché. Le bain sonore de l’environnement du fœtus puis du nouveau-né est enregistré en tant que mémoire implicite dans l’inconscient non refoulé et transmet un sentiment d’appartenance ou d’aliénation en fonction de la nature des relations objectales maternelles précoces. Dans le cas d’un enfant déplacé de sa culture maternelle précoce, par la fuite et l’émigration, l’acculturation, la perte des images, des sons et odeurs familiers de sa culture d’origine, ce sont autant de stress supplémentaires. Tout comme la perte de la musicalité de la langue. Nous présentons ici le cas clinique d’un jeune patient qui a pu faire le deuil de sa langue maternelle et de sa culture tardivement, après avoir pu revenir sur son lieu de naissance. L’expérience esthétique de sa confrontation à la culture de son village natal et la remémoration de ses premières expériences de vie auprès des personnes qui lui avaient prodigué leurs soins ont ouvert les cryptes de traumatismes longtemps enfouis du passé et l’ont amené au cours de l’analyse à explorer les régions souterraines de son esprit. Cet article soutient que c’est son instinct d’autoconservation qui l’a conduit à la recherche de son passé. Le travail analytique de construction et de reconstruction lui a fourni le récit ayant pu réanimer son instinct de vie affaibli en redonnant du sens et un but à son existence.
