Dvoil pour la premire fois lors de la Quinzaine des ralisateurs du festival de Cannes en 2016 et nomin pour les Oscars dans la catgorie Meilleur film d'animation en 2017, Ma vie de Courgette -ralis par le Valaisan Claude Barras et scnaris par la Franaise Cline Sciamma 1 -est un long-mtrage d'animation en volume coproduit par Rita Productions (Suisse), Blue Spirit (France), Gebeka Films (France) et KNM (Monaco).Adapt du roman Autobiographie d'une Courgette de Gilles Paris publi chez Plon en 2002, le film met en scne Icare, alias Courgette, un petit garon de neuf ans, qui vit dans un foyer avec d'autres enfants depuis qu'il a accidentellement tu sa mre.Tourn Villeurbanne, dans la banlieue lyonnaise, le film est considr comme l'un des premiers longs-mtrages d'animation helvtiques, et a connu un important succs public, puisque plus d'un million d'entres ont t comptabilises ce jour pour la France seulement 2 .Il a par ailleurs obtenu un accueil critique majoritairement positif, les journalistes ayant salu son inventivit et sa finesse 3 .
