Abstract
prologue La réussite scolaire constitue un enjeu sociétal de premier plan.En effet, elle représente un vecteur incontournable du progrès social et de l'avenir des nouvelles générations comme de celui de l'ensemble de la société, tout particulièrement dans le contexte du développement des économies axées sur le savoir (Castells, 2001 ; Ménard et autres, 2009 ; Vultur, 2009).Selon Statistique Canada 1 , entre 1990 et 2007 au Canada, le nombre d'emplois nécessitant des études postsecondaires a augmenté de 71,2 % et le nombre d'emplois requérant un diplôme d'études universitaires s'est accru de 109,6 %.Dans la foulée de ces constats, un rapport de la Fédération des cégeps inscrivait la volonté de l'organisme d'ajuster le réseau collégial aux principaux défis posés entre autres par la mondialisation, la révolution technologique et les besoins futurs en main-d'oeuvre (Fédération des cégeps, 2008).Enfin, bon nombre de recherches et de documents ministériels accréditent toute l'importance de cet enjeu, tout particulièrement chez les garçons et auprès de certains groupes défavorisés sur le plan socioécono-
