Abstract
O objetivo do estudo foi analisar a produção científica sobre futebol em periódicos brasileiros de Educação Física (EF), com ênfase nas temáticas e populações investigadas. O estudo caracteriza-se como uma revisão integrativa. Foram analisadas as principais revistas da área da EF no Brasil, com publicações em língua portuguesa. Além de informações referentes ao ano e periódico de publicação, os dados extraídos foram categorizados em 16 temáticas de investigação e 20 populações. No total, a amostra de estudos selecionada para análise foi de 789 artigos. Pode-se observar que a temática “análise do desempenho energético-funcional” representa 29,1% dos artigos investigados e a população de adolescentes foi a mais investigada (26,3%). Conclui-se que a produção científica sobre futebol nos periódicos brasileiros de EF tem aumentado ao longo dos anos, com a hegemonia de temáticas relacionadas à subárea “biodinâmica do movimento humano” e com foco em públicos com idades superiores a 15 anos.
