Abstract

Cakupan pemberian ASI pada bayi masih dikategorikan kurang, hal ini berdampak pada kesehatan ibu maupun bayi yang menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan kesehatan seperti pendarahan pasca persalinan, bayi mudah mengalami infeksi hingga meningkatkan risiko kematian pada bayi, maka dibutuhkan upaya dalam meningkatkan pemberian ASI dengan pemberian daun katuk. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsumsi daun katuk terhadap produksi ASI pada ibu post partum di Wilayah Puskesmas Limboto Barat. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan one gorup pre post test, populasi penelitian adalah ibu menyusui 0-3 bulan di Wilayah Puskesmas Limboto Barat dengan jumlah 115 orang, sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 25 ibu post partum yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi dan menggunakan uji statistik wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian diperoleh produksi ASI sebelum mengonsumsi daun katuk adalah kurang dari 8 kali/hari dengan rata-rata 4,48 sebesar 100% dan sesudah mengonsumsi daun katuk adalah 8-12 kali/hari dengan rata-rata 8,44 sebesar 100%, sertadiperole nilai p-value 0,000 (< α 0,05). Dapat disimpulkan ibu post partum yang mengonsumsi daun katuk mengalami peningkatan produksi ASI 8-12 kali/hari.
