O presente trabalho busca apresentar uma via possível de articulação entre psicanálise e política, a partir do estabelecimento de uma chave de leitura analítico-crítica que possibilite a construção das relações entre esses campos. Nesse percurso, com Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan e Ernesto Laclau, localizamos o caráter político da proposição lacaniana “não há relação sexual”, a partir da escrita desse impasse pelas fórmulas da sexuação, em analogia à operação hegemônica de constituição do social, que parte da lógica da impossibilidade do objeto “Sociedade”. Tratamos, assim, de investigar a operação de modalização dos impossíveis quanto ao político e ao sexual considerando-se o ab-senso irredutível na constituição do tecido social e na constituição subjetiva da sexualidade, remetendo a ordem do real a uma sedimentação sempre falhamente constituída. Tal desenvolvimento orienta teoria e clínica que encontram uma matriz do político, afinal, se Freud faz um furo no discurso político-social de sua época – e das seguintes – ao propor uma teoria da sexualidade, consideramos que o alcance de seu empreendimento – ainda que não premeditado – tem ressonâncias para a própria psicanálise.
