Os modelos de avaliação e intervenção familiar estabelecem uma abordagem sistemática que integram princípios direcionados para assegurar que as necessidades de família sejam levantadas e identificar possíveis lacunas no planejamento de intervenção familiar. Nesse sentido, merece destaque o Modelo Calgary de Avaliação Familiar que é considerado como importante ferramenta para a compreensão da dinâmica e do funcionamento familiar de forma interacional. Objetivo: Caracterizar a produção científica disponibilizada em periódicos nacionais e internacionais acerca do Modelo Calgary de Avaliação Familiar. Método: Trata-se de um estudo bibliométrico, de caráter descritivo e abordagem quantitativa, cuja amostra foi constituída por 44 artigos, publicados no período de 2009 a 2022. Resultados: Os indicadores evidenciaram que a produção acerca do Modelo de Calgary de Avaliação da Família não apresenta distribuição uniforme, com maior número de publicações nos anos de 2009. Em relação às modalidades de pesquisas, predominaram os estudos originais, sendo o Modelo Calgary aplicado a grupos de famílias de pacientes com doenças crônicas (20,45%), seguido de famílias de idosos dependentes (13,63%) e famílias de pacientes com transtorno psíquico (6,81%). Conclusão: Observa-se uma crescente visibilidade à produção científica acerca dos estudos relacionados com o MCAF, evidenciando a relevância de propagar novas investigações, visto que se trata de um modelo de fundamental importância para subsidiar a prática de enfermagem no âmbito assistencial cujo foco central é a família.
