Abstract
INTRODUÇÃO: A Angioplastia Coronária Translumeral Primária (ATCP) se solidificou como o tratamento padrão ouro para o Infarto Agudo do Miocárdio com Elevação do ST (IAMST), apresentando eficácia significativa na redução da mortalidade e na melhora do prognóstico dos pacientes. METODOLOGIA: Esta pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica visa compilar e sintetizar resultados relevantes sobre Infarto Agudo do Miocárdio e Angioplastia, utilizando buscas em bases de dados nacionais e internacionais. O estudo inclui artigos publicados entre 2000 e 2024, focando na língua portuguesa, inglesa ou espanhola e excluindo publicações não acessíveis, irrelevantes ou duplicadas. RESULTADOS: Meta-análise randomizada indicou que a ATCP reduziu a mortalidade geral em 19% comparada à fibrinólise, uma terapia alternativa. Em um estudo randomizado controlado, pacientes com IAMST tratados com ATCP tiveram menor mortalidade em 30 dias (4,5% vs. 8,4%) e menor taxa de recorrência de infarto (5,1% vs. 10,7%). A Diretriz da Sociedade Brasileira de Cardiologia (SBC, 2021) recomenda a ATCP como primeira escolha para o tratamento de IAMST. CONCLUSÃO: A ATCP se estabelece como um tratamento eficaz e seguro para o IAMST, com evidências científicas robustas sustentando sua superioridade em relação à fibrinólise. A implementação precoce da ATCP é fundamental para otimizar resultados e melhorar a qualidade de vida dos pacientes.
