Abstract
A saúde bucal em pacientes portadores de transtornos psíquicos é algo de grande complexidade e sofre alterações devido ao abandono do autocuidado, pois seus comportamentos podem afetar atividades diárias básicas, como cuidar da higiene oral. A odontologia restauradora disponibiliza diversas técnicas para reabilitação estética, sendo as resinas amplamente indicadas para diversos casos. Dessa maneira, este trabalho tem como objetivo relatar um caso clínico de uma reabilitação estética e o impacto deste tratamento na qualidade de vida e autoestima da paciente com insatisfação estética do seu sorriso. O planejamento proposto incluiu facetas em resina composta nos dentes anteriores. Ao final do tratamento, obteve-se um sorriso esteticamente harmônico e consequentemente a satisfação da paciente elevando-se sua autoestima e principalmente a melhoria da saúde bucal. Conclui-se que a resina composta para a reabilitação estética de dentes anteriores representa uma opção conservadora e viável para o tratamento odontológico, restabelecendo assim a saúde biológica e psicológica ao paciente.
