ResumenRecientes estudios han demostrado las propiedades nicas del sistema inmunitario innato, conocidas como memoria inmunitaria innata, inmunidad imprimada "priming immunity" o inmunidad entrenada.Estas propiedades se han descrito como la capacidad del sistema inmunitario innato para aprender de experiencias microbianas previas, lo que mejora la supervivencia tras una infeccin posterior.En esta revisin, presentamos los conocimientos actuales existentes sobre la inmunidad entrenada en invertebrados y ofrecemos una visin global de estas capacidades en moluscos marinos cultivados, que actualmente se ven amenazados por enfermedades recurrentes.Los estudios han demostrado que la exposicin de la microbiota ambiental a patgenos o a elementos derivados, puede proporcionar una respuesta ms fuerte y mejor proteccin frente a futuras infecciones.Estos estudios ponen en evidencia caractersticas comunes y diferentes de proteccin, mecanismos, especificidad y duracin que varan segn los marcadores inmunitarios y los mtodos de estimulacin.A pesar de que slo se conocen parcialmente las bases celulares y moleculares de estas respuestas, se han sugerido efectos sobre la fagocitosis, las poblaciones de hemocitos, la apoptosis, el estrs oxidativo y la expresin de genes inmunitarios.Por ltimo, proponemos un contexto para que futuras investigaciones vayan ms all de las pruebas actuales, y aborden las posibles limitaciones
