Abstract
Introdução: Pesquisadores, professores, artistas, cinegrafistas, instituições regulamentadoras e fazedores de políticas têm se interessado cada vez mais pela luta tradicional do Marajó, o que tem contribuído para a sua valorização, difusão, reconhecimento e produção do conhecimento. Objetivo: explorar o reconhecimento e a consolidação da Luta Marajoara como um campo particular, merecedor de sua própria comunidade epistêmica. Metodologia: o ensaio segue as orientações epistemológicas do trabalho intelectual como artesanato, utilizando a literatura e reflexões existentes como um laboratório analítico para mapear a rede epistêmica da Luta Marajoara. Resultados e discussão: indica-se princípios fundamentais para o estabelecimento de uma comunidade epistêmica para a Luta Marajoara: intercâmbio de saberes locais e acadêmicos; colaboração pluridisciplinar; sustentabilidade; e honestidade e integridade acadêmica. Considerações Finais: uma comunidade epistêmica da Luta Marajoara desempenharia o papel de registrar a memória, avaliar e produzir conhecimento socialmente relevante sobre essa luta brasileira. Ela agregaria atores com experiência e competência legitimada para compreender suas práticas e propor avanços qualitativos nas pesquisas, imbricando os campos científicos e sociais na busca por maior reconhecimento e valorização desta prática corporal nortista-brasileira.
